Bike the Bay is here! This August 27th Many San Diegans will be partaking in a Bike the Bay tour. This event starts bright and early at 5:30am at the Embarcadero Marina Park. Bikers can ride effortlessly through the marina park and over the Coronado Bay Bridge. The outstanding view of the San Diego Bay will be a highlight of your summer 2017.
The 41st annual World Bodysurfing Championships will be taking place at the Oceanside pier on August 19th-August 20th. Participants ages 12 and over are welcome to enter and compete for the Bodysurfing Grand Championship. Entry fees are 75$.
In the mood for a refreshing summer drink? Chula Vista the “Lemon Capital of the World” will be hosting a Lemon Festival on Sunday August 6th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Come sport your brightest yellow outfit and enjoy refreshing drinks, live music, sour contests and plenty of festival booths. This festival will be taking place in the heart of Chula Vista on Third Avenue between E and G streets.
The Vans Warped Tour is taking place at Qualcomm Stadium on August 5th. This premiere music festival features tons of rock and punk bands as well as many vendors and festival tents. Tickets can be purchased online or at The stadium the day of. Tickets start at 40$ per person.
