Most of us here in San Diego are familiar with names like Tony Hawk, Phil Mickelson, Ted Geisel aka Dr. Seusse and Deepak Chopra and have know them as long time fellow San Diegans. But here are a few famous locals that we think might surprise you…
1. Steve Perry, the former lead singer of the rock band Journey lives a quieter rock and roll life in Del Mar these days. We welcome him with open arms.
2. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft has had two homes here in San Diego for some time now and just recently purchased his daughter a 229 acre equestrian facility. Word is he bought this excel-ent property from Jenny Craig.
3. Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee for the United States presidency and former governor of Massachusetts moved into our La Jolla neigborhood a few years ago. With several homes across the nation from New Hampshire to Utah to California we cant pinpoint which is his primary residence but obviously our vote would be San Diego.
Because San Diego truly IS America’s finest city.
