Every year thousands of people come to enjoy the speed festival at Naval Air Station North Island (Coronado), which also happens to be the birth place of Naval Aviation. The Speed Festival is a weekend in September that is full of Exhibits, Ship Tours, Food Vendors, and of course, Racing! It is not everyday that you get to come onboard a military Installation and get a glimpse of activities that happen on base.
Vintage cars take place on a track and battle in races that show the public the history of racing, along with up-close interviews of the cars drivers. In addition to Car Racing, you may have heard of Geoff Aaron. He happens to be a Red Bull Sponsored Endurocross Pro, that actively participates in the X games. He will be making his appearance this year at the Speed Fest, so make sure you look out for him!
