We’ve all seen the Instagrams: beautiful vistas of the San Diego Bay, capturing amazing sunsets and skylines. Here at San Diego Sailing Tours, we’ve got a few ideas on how to make a day on the San Diego Bay a memorable experience for a lifetime.
Kick off the day by checking out the San Diego Maritime Museum and the USS Midway Museum. Both are located on the Embarcadero, on the east side of the San Diego Bay, closest to Downtown. At the Maritime Museum, you can check out exhibits like the Star of India, the Californian tall ship, or even tour a decommissioned submarine. At the USS Midway Museum, you can climb aboard one of the most famous American aircraft characters and learn about navy operations and history.
When you’re ready for lunch, try one of the many waterfront restaurants that the San Diego Bay has to offer. Upscale options like Island Prime on Harbor Island or Peohe’s on Coronado are great options for brunch or lunch. You can also check out offerings at The Headquarters or Seaport Village for more casual options.
To cap off the day, why not enjoy a fantastic sunset sail with San Diego Sailing Tours! Our 2-hour sunset sails are available for both private charter and individual ticket sales. Cruise the San Diego Bay in style with a round of craft beer or white wine and your professional sea captain at the helm.
