Summer is definitely one of San Diego’s best season, but soon we will have to be waving farewell to the warm summer nights and spending all day at the beach. There are farewell summer activities happening all over San Diego. Here is a couple that we are definitely going to before they end for the summer.
#3 Nights Glow Brighter with Electric Ocean, SeaWorld’s New Summer Celebration
Location: SeaWorld San Diego
Time: June 17- Sep 4
During the summer night when the sun goes down, SeaWorld turns into a spectacle of illumination and bioluminescence. Come and enjoy live entertainment, thrilling roller coasters, beautiful marine life and much more during SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean Summer Celebration.
#2 Del Mar Western Regional Chili Cookoff
Location: Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, CA 92014
Time: Aug. 5, 1pm-6pm
Our favorite time of the year is anytime there is a chili cookoff. Experience the flavors of San Diego right in Del Mar. There will be many contestants looks to show off their masterpieces and amaze you with their creations.
#3 Sail the Bay
Location: San Diego Sailing Tours, 1450 Harbor Island Drive #206
Time: Anytime
My one recommendation to anyone who finds themselves out in San Diego during the summer is that you have to sail around the bay. This is something you can do all year round, but this is the one way that you can get the full San Diego experience. Come and enjoy a relaxing sunset tour or get the full sailing experience by leaving a little earlier in the day. You haven’t seen San Diego until you see it from the water.
