The annual Samahan Philippine Cultural Arts Festival will be taking place this weekend, Jun 24-25, at Balboa Park! Guests will be able to take part in various demonstrations of Filipino culture including dance, music, martial arts, and of course, food!
Tagalog-language lessons will also be on offer in workshops throughout the weekend. Tagalog, spoken in and around the Philippine capital of Manila, is one of the hundreds of dialects that make up the Filipino language.
Food options will surely not disappoint, with specialties on offer such as kwek-kwek, buko, and turon. Food is one of the most important aspects of Filipino culture, so be sure not to miss it!
