It’s that time of year again in beautiful San Diego: San Diego Comic Con 2018 has finally arrived. The official dates for SDCC, the most famous and one of the most important entertainment media conventions in the world, are this Thursday to Sunday, July 19 to July 22.
The area around the San Diego Convention Center, the Gaslamp Quarter, will be the epicentre of the crowds this weekend. In addition to the scheduled panels, signings, and other events going on inside of the Convention Center, several exhibitions are set up in the surrounding area to showcase upcoming movies, T.V. series, video games, and other media.
Visitors and residents alike are advised that the area around the Convention Center will be extremely busy over the long weekend. Harbor Drive, the street in front of the Convention Center, will be closed during peak event times during the days to all traffic, including ride-shares. If you want to absorb the downtown atmosphere this weekend without being in the middle of the crowds, San Diego Sailing Tours will be on the water all weekend so that you can still enjoy the fantastic scenery and beautiful San Diego summer!
