From October 18-21, the Extreme Sailing Series will be in San Diego about 5 meters off of Harbor Island. This is an event where sailing vessels will be maneuvering and racing at incredible speeds along the beautiful San Diego coast. There will be multiple events from kiteboarding to racing catamarans. Proceeds from this race will be used to fund various charities around San Diego such as the SEAL Family Foundation and Rady Children’s Hospital.

The top sailing teams from all over the world such as the INEOS Rebels UK or SAP Extreme Sailing Team will come out to exhibit their skills. The Extreme Sailing Series has been around since 2007 changing the world of professional inshore sailing. This series stretches all over the world from Barcelona in Spain to Muscat in Oman; they travel to some of the most incredible locations to make sure they only have to best sailing conditions available.

This event is completely free for admission. There will be a variant of different races, competitions, and many more attractions such the Race Village. The Race Village is the center for the viewers with different food and drink stands such as a beer garden and multiple different food trucks. The rules of the race are simple, the first boat past the post wins, and whoever has the most points at the end wins.
