Old Town, one of the most historic places San Diego has to offer. In fact Old Town is said to be the “birthplace” of California!  Built in the 1800s the first missions were created by Father Junipero Serra and a Mexican community was formed.

California declared this town as a state park in 1968 to preserve its history and rich culture. Old Town is home to many parks, shops, restaurants, bars and hotels.  Throughout the town there are historic sites as well as demonstrations on quilting and blacksmithing!

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo then by heading on down to Old Town for a night you will not forget! It is said to be the biggest Cinco de Mayo event north of the border! The town is putting on a festival to celebrate 34 years of tradition. Starting at 4pm the festival will have food, drinks, live entertainment and festivities! Bring the whole family as there are activities for all ages. There will be two different stages so be sure to check the schedule to make sure you see all the acts you are interested in!
