Grab your dancing shoes! San Diego will be hosting a number of ethnic dancing nights this weekend. From Salsa dancing to Bollywood parties this weekend if full of events to get your body moving!
Salsa Under the Stars
Come dance under the night sky! The Headquarters at Seaport will be hosting a Salsa Under the Stars night! The event takes place November 18th and goes from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Manny Cepeda Orchestra will be playing the entire night so get ready to boogie! No partner or experience is necessary and the event is free.
Jai Ho! Bollywood Party
Dance all night to the magical sound of Bollywood music! The Queen Bee’s Art & Cultural Center will be hosting a Diwali Night also known as the Festival of Lights. Bollywood Dreams Entertainment presents Prashant: singer, dancer and DJ as well as DJ Ukeim. The event will take place on Friday November 18th, doors open at 9:00pm and goes until 1:45am. There will be dance lessons at 10:30pm and a dance performance at 11pm. The event is for people over 21 and costs $10 at the door, $5 for groups over 4 people and $7 for purchasing tickets in advance with free entrance before 10pm.
Reggae Fest with Iration
On Saturday November 19th Iration will be taking the stage at the Del Mar Race Tracks for Reggae Fest! Iration is an alternative/reggae band formed in Isla Vista, CA in 2004. The members of the band all met while growing up in Hawaii and try to keep the Aloha vibes in their music. Through the Roots (a reggae band as well) will open for the band at the Seaside Stage. The concert is free as long as you make it through the gates before the start of the last race.
