San Diego loves its unique traditions, so with our warm winters and surfing community, naturally a Surfing Santa would be born here! From 1 pm – 5 pm you can catch St. Nick hanging ten while sporting a Hawaiian Shirt and board shorts right in Sea Port Village.

Our SoCal Santa will arrive via speedboat at the San Diego Harbor. His arrival will kick off a parade, where he and Mrs. Clause will lead in a bright red convertible. Stilt walkers and other entertainers will follow, leading to an area where there are free crafts for kids to do, including eco-friendly ornaments from the Birch Aquarium. Santa will be available for free photos on his surfboard catching waves, however, due to demand, the line will cut off at 4 pm, anyone who is in line before then will be seen.

Shop locally this Saturday, and explore Seaport Village. Surfing Santa is free, however, parking is not. When you shop locally you can be partially validated. If you’re looking for a family fun adventure outside of the mall, California style, this is your one-stop-shop!
