Its Autumn in San Diego and that means Halloween is just around the corner. Here are a couple things we thought you might enjoy getting out doing (aside from sailing with us of course)….
The Pumpkin Patch in Valley Center is one of our favorites. Its always a great time for the entire family and kids of all ages. Its held at the Bates Nut Farm (15954 Woods Valley Road, Valley Center, 92082) and offers all the traditional fun Halloween activities including hay rides, a straw maze, pumpkin picking, and even live entertainment on the weekends. Admission is free though there is a minimal charge for parking on the weekends and dogs on a leash are always welcome.
If you’re looking for something a little more scary, we recommend checking out The Haunted Hotel located downtown in the Gaslamp District at 424 Market Street. Featured on the Travel Channel, its ranked as one the scariest haunted house attractions in the US. Its popularity is evidenced by the long lines of people anxiously waiting to be spooked every year. Check them out online and buy your tickets there…if you dare.
Happy Halloween and happy sailing from San Diego Sailing Tours!!
