Come join us for the 3rd Annual San Diego South Bay Turkey Trot!

There will be 3 different races on Thanksgiving Day, all starting 10 minutes within each other. The event takes place at Rohr Park. For those of you who do not know where that is it about 15 minutes south of Mission Valley and 25 minutes south if La Jolla.

The 5k is about 3.1 miles long and starts at 8:10am.  The route is one big loop around Rohr Park. The race is very flat and considered an easy race; one can walk, run or even bring a stroller so that the little ones can partake!

The 10k is about 6.2 miles and starts at 8:05am.  One can walk, run or race for their personal best time on this route.  The path takes you halfway around the park and then turns up a street for about 2 miles and then back down to finish the other half of the park.

Lastly there is the 15k that is about 9.3 miles long.  This is the earliest race starting at 8am exactly. The route takes the runners on a scenic canyon path. It is a combination of road, dirt and hills so get ready to work hard!

Every participant must be able to finish one of the races in 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be water and restroom stops along the way for each race!  Afterward there will be a party with food and prizes.

The Turkey Trot is also partnering with the Salvation Army to conduct a food drive so that nobody is hungry on Thanksgiving Day. They encourage everyone to bring some form of canned perishable and drop if off when you check in for your race!
