The brainchild of retired U.S. Marine & San Diego Resident Sandy Purdon, the Big Bay Boom is the largest fireworks extravaganza on the Western Seaboard. “As a former Marine, I love to blow up things,” Sandy has said, making him the ideal candidate for the job of putting on the largest fireworks show in the West.
The Big Bay Boom boasts a massive amount of fireworks launched from four separate barges throughout the Bay. The show will begin at 9:00 PM on July 4 and ends at 9:20 PM. The accompanying music for the show will be streamed on The Mighty 1090 AM and Max FM 105.7. The Big Bay Boom will also be streamed live on Fox 5 in San Diego and KTLA 5 in Los Angeles.
