Here are some of the most popular events that we recommend as must see:

• The US Sand Sculpting Challenge and Dimensional Art Expo
This 4 day even WM-2013- Welcome aboard...but mind your manners t running from September 2nd- September 5th brings 300 tons of sand to the B street cruise ship terminal, where World Master Sand Sculptors come from all over the 300 tons of sand on a downtown pier world (Singapore, Latvia, Ireland, and Canada to name a few) to build the most astounding 3 dimensional sand art sculptures. There’s also tons of dimensional art being sold to take home, food trucks and other vendors, a sand box and activities for kids, and live entertainment to enjoy.

Bayside summer nights 1812 TCHAIKOVSKY SPECTACULAR
On September 2nd and 3rd, the San Diego Symphony ends the summer with a bang. 1812 TCHAIKOVSKY SPECTACULAR!
Both nights at the Embarcadero Marina Park South, fireworks are set off over the San Diego Bay to the sounds of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. It’s an event not to be missed!

• Padres v redsocks

On Monday September 5th, celebrate Labor Day the San Diego way-while watching a PadresImage result game! The San Diego Padres will be playing the Boston Red Socks at Petco Park. First pitch is at 1:40pm. This games theme is Bark at the Park, and the stadium now features “Barkyard” seating where you can bring your furry friend to the game with you.

• Festival of sail
We saved the best for last, as this is our personal favorite Labor Day Event! The north Embarcadero is transformed into a nautical extravaganza for this festival from September 2nd-5th hosted by the Maritime Museum. With a parade of Sail to kick off the event on Friday, there are many parade ships offering tickets to ride along. Starting on Saturday, you can watch the mock cannon battles and feel like you are in the 1800’s. If you book a midday sailing tour with us during the festival, you may be able to see the battles while out on the water-for the best guarantee, book private and let us know you want to be close to the action! Along with all the on the water excitement, there are vendors, beer gardens, and a kids activity zone. This is always the waterfront event of the year! Don’t miss out!
