We still have boats available for a 10 am sail Monday, August 21st, the perfect time to catch the 60% eclipse that will be visible here in San Diego, but if you’re not going to be hitting the water to enjoy the once in a lifetime view, consider checking out a Sky Party, hosted by some one San Diego’s public libraries.
The Sky Parties will be preceded by free preparatory workshops held Saturday, August 19th, and will feature oceanography scientists who will teach families about the science behind a solar eclipse, give directions on how to safely enjoy the eclipse, and help participants build pinhole cameras for successful eclipse viewing. Workshops will be held at the following times and libraries:
- Logan Heights Library from 10 a.m. to noon
