With the weekend coming up right around the corner and the weather getting a little cooler. More San Diegans are making their way outside for some of the local festivities that San Diego has to offer. Here are a couple of things that you can do to kick your weekend off right.
#3 North Park Thursday Farmers’ Market
Location: Corner of North Park Way and Granada Avenue
Time: 3:30pm-7:30pm
Here at San Diego Sailing Tours, we are a big fan of locally sourced produce and supporting local farmers. One of our favorite things to do is to go and visit the farmers’ markets that are hosted daily all over San Diego. One of our favorites is the North Park Farmers’ Market on the corner of North Park Way and 29th Street. Come out and get some of the freshest fruits, vegetables, meat and produce.
#2 Sunset Poolside Jazz Series
Location: The Westgate Hotel
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm
Come to enjoy amazing music and incredible scenery at the top of The Westgate Hotel. They have an array of signature cocktails for you to come out and enjoy as well as craft beer, wine, and a tray of appetizers available with purchase. To enter you must purchase a minimum of $25 in food or drink.
#1 Twilight in the Park Summer Concerts
Location: Balboa Park
Time 6:30pm-7:30pm
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout all of August, Balboa Park becomes filled with live music right as Twilight hits. There will be big bands such as the Hillcrest Wind Ensemble to smaller artists such as Back Pocket Whiskey Fellas. Guests bring blankets and food to set up for an amazing free show and to enjoy the atmosphere.
